We Everywhere

A virtual series showcasing the overlooked voices, stories and histories of the African diaspora.

The Atlantic slave trade is only one part of the Pan-African story. This series will delve into the Ottoman slave trade and other forms of migration that brought Afro-descendants to myriad places, from unexpected American states to countries including Germany, Iran, Ecuador, Israel, Palestine, Turkey and China.

Through storytelling workshops, film screenings, expert presentations, and explorations of art, music, food and traditions, we’ll discover these rich global communities and their connections to Brooklyn.

This BKLYN Incubator project is supported by generous funding provided by The Charles H. Revson Foundation and Robin K. and Jay L. Lewis.
